Main Street Maples Park

Located between Highway 10 and the South Shore Annapolis Valley Trail in the heart of New Germany.

The park has picnic tables and benches available in season, feel free to stop and relax!

River Ridge Common

Located at 4668 Highway 10 on the outskirts of New Germany.

South Shore Annapolis Valley Trail



This 122 km trail travels between the Goose Chase Road in New Germany to the Town of Bridgetown in the Annapolis Valley and Caledonia in the Region of Queens.

Accessible for hikers, bicycles, ATV's, snowmobiles, skies, and horses.

Parking is available at various access points along the trail.

The trail is groomed in the winter by the Crossburn Snowmobile Club.


LaHave River Trail

This trail will create a link between the Town of Bridgewater and the South Shore Annapolis Valley Trail in New Germany along the old rail line.

This trail is supported by the LaHave River Trail Association

Indian Falls Park

To commemorate the 125th anniversary of the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg in 2004,

Indian Falls was designated as a Municipal Park.

Known for having some of the area's best fishing, Indian Falls also offers a picnic area, on-site privies, walking trails, rocky beach and look off points.

Mushamush Beach Park

Mushamush Beach Park is a Municipal treasure located on Mushamush Lake in Sweetland.

Between May and October, the park is open from 9:00a.m. until dusk for swimming, picnicking or a leisurely walk.

The beach is equipped with accessible picnic tables, on-site privies and has a special ramp available for wheelchair water access. There is also a small play area on-site for children.
